Many Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the prayers, well wishes and POTP for my Grammie. Her surgery went very well and now she's just starting on the long road to recovery. Her physical therapist was impressed with both her progress and her attitude. I always thought my Grammie was Polish, but I've learned that she has the heart of a Scottie!

My Grammie

I'm just snuggling with my Grammie. She has to have surgery tomorrow to replace both of her knees. Amazing what they can do these days huh? Anyways, I'm just trying to give her snuggles and love before she has to go. She will have to be in a rehab facility for maybe a month after and Grampy will be home all alone, which mum is very worried about. We'd appreciate any POTP for my Grammie and Grampy.

Captive

Help! I'm being held captive and forced to snuggle!

That red you see is a blanket covering mums lap...she's trying to make me into a lapdog!

Helpful

Mum was driving us to Omaha where Gramie and Grampie live for Easter weekend. I try to be helpful to her, so here I am holding the gear shifter in place for her. Since I have to wear my seatbelt, I'm sometimes limited in the help I can offer, so this seemed the least I could do.

Tender Moment

Mum snapped this picture of me snuggling with brown bear early this morning.

Survey Says!

As it were most of my Scottie furiends responded that you are none too snugly either! I guess that answers the question - we Scots are not typically cuddlers. As it were, I have been extra snugly since mum came to this conclusion! Go figure! (I just like to keep her on her toes, Bol!)

A Question From My Mum

I've agreed to let mum use my blog for the day. She is seeking the opinion of other Scottie peeps.

Edgar's mum here. I've been wondering, Scottie peeps, do your Scots cuddle much? From the blogs I've read and followed it seems to be a toss up of whether it's a breed characteristic to not be cuddly or whether it's an individual characteristic. Edgar is NOT a cuddler. He prefers to sit near me and often times if pet him or fuss over him he gets up and moves! The winter is nice because he will snuggle up to me when we go to bed to stay warm, but otherwise he's not too affectionate. Scottie thing or just an Edgar thing? What do you say? I love him to pieces either way, but you know, sometimes after a long day, a cuddle is just what a person needs!

Gratuitous picture of the non-snuggly Edgar:
