mail call!

well me oh my! i am new to this bloggie thing and i didn't have any idea about all the friends i would make! today my mama brought the mail in and she brought me this envelope with *my* name on it!

it was from the rocky creek scotties! there was a card and this handsome scarf that i am modeling here:

friends with stripes

my friend stuart blogged today about lights for safety. it was on his gift idea list. well it got my mama thinking. we go camping lots and the last time this little guy invaded our campsite.
she wouldn't let me anywhere near him...something about i would not be allowed in the tent if i got sprayed - i didn't see a hose, so i don't know what she was talkin about. so she's gettin me a light so she can keep track of me when we are camping so i won't get sprayed.

my toys...

this is my toy basket, and those are my toys. sometimes i like to get every last toy out and scatter em all over the living room. anybody else do that? hey - that tan thing on the right side of the picture is a camel carcass. that's right - i killed a camel. i'm pretty fierce when i want to be!

a friendly reminder to mum...

today on my walkie mum was draggin me along, not giving me but a second to check some pee-mail...muttering about how she had things to do at home and being in a hurry. i gently reminded her that daily walkies are not just about her fitness but also about me being a doggie and needing to get some energy out and just be me...i reminded her that it's important sometimes to just be in the moment and stop to smell the roses if you will. it's not really going to matter tomorrow if the dishes got done, or the laundry put away is it? but spending quality time on a walk with me will! i'm a scottie, so i'm pretty wise - she just forgets sometimes...

a package for me!!

see this box? it has my name on it! it's from my friend jazzi for her christmas exchange...she had my name.
mum helped me with the tape on the outside and then left it to me to open the pressies - look at all those pressies!

and here is a picture of all the pressies that jazzi sent me...look at everything! it was so kind of her - i feel spoiled!

i got two sqeeky toys, a blankie, some homemade cookies (mmm! nom nom!)a chewie, a pillow and a stocking - and guess what it says? edgar! it has my very own name on it! the most specialest part is that i think jazzi's mom made the pillow and the stocking and the little scottie sqeeky toy...and the cookies. she made those things just special for me! and she even sent some things for my mum! see?

i don't know if you can see it, but that thing in the back says "my cute edgar" (that's me!) and has little clippies for mum to clip pictures of me on it! she's going to put it in her office. and there are scottie socks and chocolate (her favorites!)

we want to say thank you to our friend jazzi and her mom diana for sending us such wonderful pressies and for organizing the gift exchange for all of us!

ho hum

sigh - mum brought work home with her today. so i just perched here on the back of the sofa and watched the world go by. this is my favorite place to sit and stare! helps me keep an eye on my yard and shout at the darn cats that prowl about!

tis the season

i really like to help mum out sometimes...she needs my advice - like when decorating the tree. she really needed my help then. i told her which ornaments to put where, and made sure everything was, what's the word? tasteful! here is a picture of me "helping"...i don't know why she put those quote marks there - when i asked her to remove them she just pretended she didn't hear me! humph! to be at the whims of your typist!

now that the tree is up and everything is in the right place i continue to help by chasin those darn cats, sammy and charlie, whenever they try to come over and knock the ornaments off or chew up the ribbons!

taco day is finally here!

i've been waiting and waiting and it's finally here - taco day!! me and my friend jazzi are hosting taco day. check out her bloggie for the details! you should all talk to your peeps and get them to make you some tacos too! my mum made me this tasty one with the yummy soft shell. don't worry - she took out the toothpick before she gave it to me!

and she was too slow with camera to get a picture of me eatin it - so here's a picture of me lickin the plate clean instead. it was soooo good!
