oh the horror

i'm sorry - i won't post any pictures to relive the indignity...it was awful. my mama decided that my natural scottish musk was becoming offensive and declared today BATH DAY!! before i new i was plunked in the tub and covered with suds. the worst of it all was afterwards when she aimed this thing at me that sounded like the vacuum monster, but blew air out instead of sucked things in. and now i smell like oatmeal and lavender. blech!

hee hee hee

all this snow means it's too cold for my walkies - we go a few blocks and my little paw paws get so cold i can't keep them all on the ground. so i have been doing my best to help out around the house. for instance - i don't like the new place she keeps the step stool, so have been scratching at it and nosing it and crying at it all night till she moves it. and, the recycling - i have rearranged all of that in the dining room...none of the plastics were properly chewed before she put them in the bag. next i am moving on to "reorganizing" my toys. she sure hopes this cold snap ends soon! i guess she doesn't care for my brand of "helping"

snow day!

we got big snows today and mom was the only one in her office that braved the elements to get to work, so when her boss called and told her to come home she said she didn't need to be told twice! so she came home and played with me in the snow. then our neighbor vegas the viszla and her mom came outside. and then our neighbor teddy the schnauzer came out and then mom went and got lucas (my best friend) from his house...his mom was at work still. here we are all playing in the yard...

now it's time to get back indoors to dry off and get warm.

this is a picture of me and my very, very, very best friend. his name is lucas and he lives downstairs in our building. doesn't he have the nicest smile? he and i have been friends ever since my first birthday and i am 3 1/2 now! he just had his own 3rd birthday right before christmas. he and i love to play and play. we play bitey face, and we wrestle...but my very favorite game to play is tuggy/dust-mop-dog. we get a toy and each grab an end and flip my legs out in a classic frog dog pose. then lucas pulls me around the floor - wheeee! mum says it's her favorite too cause it cleans the floor!

phew! my mama has been a slacker. maybe it should be her resolution to do a better job helping me blog, dontcha think? i'm just going to spend the day contemplating in my favorite spot. we rang in the new year at a people/puppy pajama pawty at our neighbors and i'm kinda tuckered out!
